Holly Jolly Christmas!
We just got home from our vacation yesterday, and today it's back to work! A little run down of our Christmas:
We had our Christmas with Mom and Dad (Keith and Julie) last weekend (the week before Christmas) and it was so fun! We enjoyed some really good food at Mom's and Granny's and got to spend a lot of quality time together. We had Christmas at Mom and Dad's on Friday and went to Granny and Grandad's on Saturday. We didn't do gifts at Granny's this year and instead played Bingo and other games for gift cards or money! It was alot of fun! Ashley and Jordan's twins are growing up so fast and it was really great spending some time with Lauren.
Kelsey and I went to my Nan and Pop's on Thursday (the 23rd) and helped her do some cooking to get ready for Christmas at her house on Christmas Day. We went to Mom and Dad's the day after to spend some more time with them. Christmas Eve night, Nan & Pop and Granny & Grandad came to Mom's house to have a Mogul tournament. (Mogul is a card game my family likes to play!) It was really fun! We went to Nan's house to have Christmas on Christmas day and everyone in the family was able to make it! We played games, watched football, and ate MORE great food... We draw names for Christmas and Kelsey had Lori and I had Matt.
When we came home from Nan's, we were pretty pooped, but had a lot to do around the house because we left for Comfort the next morning! Kelsey's dad turned 50 on the 28th so his side of the family took a vacation to Comfort, TX (close to Fredricksburg) to celebrate with him! It was also a lot of fun - filled with games, food, and memories. We had our Christmas with Kelsey's parents there the first night. We took family photos (which I stole a few of Sarah's from facebook to show you all). For Craig's birthday, Susan asked every family member to write down 5 memories of him to compile a big book of memories for his gift. When we presented it to him, several of us shared our memories out loud - it was really special and he really enjoyed it! We also had a cake decorating contest, with Craig being the judge. We decorated 5 cakes with 5 different teams - it was really fun (even though we didn't win). :) All in all, we had a great Christmas and will be traveling to Sweetwater on the 1st to have Christmas with Kelsey's mom's family! Kelsey's parents are here with us now in Lubbock, so I'm really happy to get to spend so much time with them!

Fresh Starts
All right... Every time I start something like this, it just fizzles out! Not this time though! I wanted to create a blog where I could share our lives with the people we love! I want our families and friends to follow us and keep up with how we are doing and what we are doing. I'm not into Twitter or things like that - knowing good and well that NO ONE wants to know what I'm doing at all times of the day - so posting something once or twice a week will be just enough, I think...
I enjoy cooking and making crafts in my free time and I think it would be fun to show these things off! They aren't wonderful or anything, but when you take time to work on something, it's nice to show it to someone. Kelsey likes doing... other things ;) that I'll try and include in my posts. It will be fun to show places we go and things we do - I'm really looking forward to this! Stick with me... I'm new at this and not nearly as creative as I would like to be.
Here is one of the crosses I made for Christmas. If some of you don't know, I work for the owners of Chicken Express in Lubbock. This was a gift to them that we are putting up in the brand new store! I was really proud and will post my other crosses later. (Sorry for the picture quality - this was taken on my iPhone... :(
